Nehemiah 4: 6 – So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.
What is the working class? I am glad you asked! The working class (also laboring class and proletariat) are the people employed for wages, especially in manual-labor occupations and industrial work. Most countries are built and sustained by the abilities and physical attributes of the working class people. It is no different in the Kingdom of God. God uses working class people to accomplish His Will in the Earth.
If you noticed in Genesis, when God made man and spoke into him the assignment on his life, work was one of the commands. Every person God used was found working in one capacity or another. Whether it was Abraham, Moses, Elisha, David, Gideon, Elizabeth or some other servant they were working! Being willing and able to work is inspiring and being able to complete a task is rewarding.
In the scripture text above, we see that the building of the wall was completed because the people had a mind to work. This is not just an emotional mind or a direct order from Nehemiah. It was something to which they were already accustom. They had a relationship with labor and understood the importance of team work. In additions, the people had the will and intellect to do it. Each congregant brings an ability to the House of God and to the service of the ministry. No matter how large or small, this talent should be enlisted into service. Serve in your church, community and in the Kingdom of God. God uses working class people!
